DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTERNATIONAL CENTeR For SKIING AND RECREATION «Demino»
Brief description of the facility:
The International Center for Skiing and Recreation «Demino» is situated in picturesque surroundings on the bank of the Volga River, 70 kilometers from the city of Yaroslavl.
In January 2007, for the first time, a stage in the World Cup ski competition took place in “Demino”.
Currently, the infrastructure of «Demino» includes:
O 3.75 kilometer ski track
O 5, 10 and 15 kilometer ski coursed
O 700 square meter ski lodge
O Spectator stands
O Press Center building
O Systems of telecommunication, video monitor and information board
O Restaurants
O Conference halls
O Comfortable cottages
Brief description of the project:
The project for construction at the Center «Demino» includes development in two directions:
1. Creation of a contemporary center for training sportsmen and a site for international competition in ski racing, ski jumping and the biathlon.
2. Creation of a tourist recreational center at a European level of quality to satisfy the needs of people of Yaroslavl and the neighboring regions for active rest and relaxation.
Various stages of the project «Demino» will include construction of the following facilities:
O System of creation of artificial snow cover
O Biathlon shooting-ground
O Springboards
O Ski slope
O Two new cottage communities
O Sport and tourist hotel
O Sport and fitness center
O Rental center of sports equipment
O Network of cafes
O Open common space
Estimated cost of the investment project:
Over 60 million Euros
Amount of total investment required:
40% of the project cost - 24 million Euros.
Time period and stages for realizing the project:
First stage - 2 years (2007-2008)
Second stage - 1 year (2009)
Payback period of the project:
9 years
