Establishment of manufacturing production of diesel engines DCi under license of Renault Trucks Company (France)
In Tutayev OJSC “Avtodizel” (GAZ Group) carries out organization of manufacturing production of engines DCi 11 under license of Renault Trucks Company (France). In 2008 it plans to manufacture about 7-8 thousand engines, while planned production capacity of the manufacture is up to 20 thousand engines a year.

Establishment of manufacturing production of diesel engines of the family YaMZ-530 in partnership with AVL GmbH (Austria)
OJSC “Avtodizel” and the largest shareholder of the enterprise GAZ Group got down to realization of the large investment project in the city of Yaroslavl in establishment of manufacturing production of new up-to-date in-line diesel engines of the family YaMZ-530, developed in cooperation with the Austrian company AVL GmbH.
Diesel engine YaMZ-530 is the first development of such class in Russian motorcar propulsion engineering for the last 30 years. Engineering design of the new engines family conforms to the European standards Euro-4 and Euro-5.
In 2008 OJSC “Avtodizel” in cooperation with the Austrian company AVL projects to begin manufacturing production of in-line four- and six-cylinder diesel engines YaMZ-534 and YaMZ-536. By 2010 production volume of the manufacture will constitute about 50-60 thousand engines a year.
Total investment volume – about 160 million Euros.
Establishment of the joint enterprise “DuPont Russkiye Kraski” for production of enamel body paints for automobile plants established in Russia by the leading world concerns
At the beginning of 2006 the company “Russkiye Kraski” and the Concern “DuPont”(USA) on equal terms has established in Yaroslavl the joint enterprise “DuPont Russkiye Kraski” (DuPont Russian Coatings LLC). The enterprise is occupied in production, marketing and sale of paint-and-lacquer coatings for motorcar industry plants in Russia and CIS countries. The goal of the joint enterprise is to deliver conveyer paint-and-lacquer coatings to motorcar plants of the leading world automaker corporations situated in Russia.
In the context of this project a new technological center of quality control and maintenance of conveyer paint-and-lacquer coatings will open in Yaroslavl. In case concerns “Toyota” and “Volkswagen” decide to paint their cars on motorcar plants of Russia with water conveyer paint-and-lacquer coatings, the joint enterprise will construct a manufacture of such coatings in Yaroslavl.

Construction of Cable Production Factory by Nexans Corporation (France)
In Uglich the construction of the new Cable Production Factory of the French Corporation Nexans, the world leader in cable production, is under way. The construction is carried out on the basis of the Experimental Repair and Engineering Works OJSC “Institut Gidroproekt”, that was bought by the French company in spring of 2005. By the middle of 2008 the works will gain turnover in 40-50 million Euros a year.

Construction of a steel buildings manufacturing plant by Astron Buildings S.A. (Luxembroug)
In April 2009 Astron Buildings LLC, Russian branch of Astron Buildings S.A. (Luxembourg), completes construction of a manufacturing plant in Yaroslavl, Pozharskogo street. The plant will produce all components for tailor-made steel buildings for industrial and commercial applications: logistics and distribution centres, warehouses, manufacturing plants, retail outlets, sport and recreational buildings. The plant is equipped to produce primary and secondary constructions, wall and roof systems, insulation and accessories. Astron Buildings S.A. (Luxembourg) - is a European leader in industrial steel buildings, producing 12-14 tailor-made buildings from 3 European plants. Yaroslavl plant is the fourth plant of the company, and the first one in Russia. It will use state of the art engineering and production technologies, equipment and materials to produce high quality products and services.

General Electric and Scientific Production Association “Saturn” establish in Yaroslavl the joint enterprise in production of industrial gas turbines
OJSC Science Production Association “Saturn” (Rybinsk) and General Electric (USA) in the person of branch company GE Energy, the world leader in power engineering technologies, have announced in October 2006 about their intention to invest and cooperate in production of industrial gas turbines. The parties are now negotiating the establishment in Yaroslavl of a joint enterprise that will at the starting stage introduce to the Russian market industrial gas turbines GE of B, E and F series.
At the opening stage the parties agree to locate industrial gas turbines production GE with power capacity from 40 to 150 megawatt in Russia, with an active participation of the OJSC Science Production Association “Saturn”. Heads of the both enterprises – Chairman of Board of Directors and Chief Executive Director of GE Jeffrey Immelt and General Director of the OJSC Science Production Association “Saturn” Yuriy Lastochkin – has met several times and discussed priority points of long-term strategic partnership. After signing of agreement gas-turbine technologies GE will be transferred under license to the joint enterprise.

Concern Viessmann (Germany) negotiates construction in Yaroslavl of boiler manufacturing plant
Concern Viessmann (Germany), one of the world leaders in production of heating facilities, has opened its official representative office in Yaroslavl in spring of 2006 and considers possibilities of construction of boiler manufacturing plant here.
As Director of the Concern Viessmann in Eastern Europe Herbert Finger declared, “Viessmann has made a strategic decision to construct its own manufacture in Russia. The Yaroslavl Region has been the company’s partner for 4 years now and it is a very attractive place for plant construction”.

VELUX new factory in Rostov Velikij, Russia
On 23 June 2009, VELUX officially opened a new factory in Rostov Velikij. The new VELUX factory is specialised in production of the most popular VELUX roof window models on the Russian market. Present at the opening ceremony were the factory staff members, the VELUX Group management, the governor and administration of the Yaroslavl region, the administration of the municipality of Rostov, the mayor of Rostov and the Minister Council of the Danish embassy.
Total project investments amounted to approximately one and a half billion Rubles, or approximately 40 million Euro. The new production facilities of 10,180 m2 are located on a plot of previously unused land. The factory employs about 75 people at the start of 2010.
The Rostov factory is based on modern organisational and technological processes, including LEAN production principles and best practice from other VELUX factories. The factory has implemented the VELUX Manufacturing Model and shares the same culture and standards as other VELUX factories worldwide to ensure efficiency and high-quality products. The factory is certified in accordance with international standards (ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001).

Company Tyco Electronics (USA) negotiates construction in Uglich of a cable production accessories production plant
The Administration of the Uglich Municipal District holds negotiations with the company Typo Electronics (USA), the world leader in production of line cable equipment, about construction in Uglich of a cable production accessories production plant.
Company Typo Electronics-CIS plans to buy site areas at the plant “Gidroproekt” and establish manufacture of cable production accessories there. Close by the cable production plant of the French Concern Nexans is situated. The companies will cooperate and deliver finished products to their clients. Specialists of the Typo Electronics company have carried out engineering at the plant “Gidroproekt” and selected equipment in Germany for its placement in Uglich.
