1 billion rubles will be assigned by Yaroslavl region for the development of flax complex. Region regains the title of the Russian flax processing center. Its main objectives are: the production volume expansion and the   development of material and financial resources of enterprises engaged in primary processing of flax.
 
 
700 million rubles has been assigned by the regional Government to increase the salaries of employees of a government-financed organizations. Increase of salaries affected some categories of employees of education and health system.
 
 
Yaroslavl Electric Locomotive Repair Plant celebrates its 100th anniversary. Yaroslavl Electric Locomotive Repair Plant is part of Zheldorremmash , the locomotive repair system of the Joint-Stock Company Russian Railways and is one of the best plants providing repair of machinery operated by RZhD.
 
 
600 million rubles has been allocated by the region’s Government for schools modernization. The funds were to be used to purchase computers, interactive equipment for the primary school classes, educational equipment for physics, chemistry, biology, fitness equipment and sports accessories. Part of the funds was spent on the purchase of buses, of textbooks for second graders, on payment for the Internet traffic and increase of the speed of Internet access, upgrading school cafeterias, managerial retraining of school principals.
 
 
Yaroslavl region intends to allocate 950 million rubles for the support of small and medium-sized businesses until 2016. The regional government has determined key priorities for the development of small and medium enterprises. In particular, they include support for innovative companies, support of fixed assets upgrade for small and medium enterprises, increasing the availability of financial resources for business, increasing the competitiveness and support of export-oriented enterprises, as well as the development of a special infrastructure for the support of small and medium-sized businesses.
 
 
80% of Yaroslavl residents voted for hosting World Cup in Yaroslavl. The regional government is preparing to host a large delegation of guests and fans. The construction of hotel complexes is in full swing in the region, roads are repaired, sports fields are upgraded.

100 large families will be able to improve their living conditions this year, which is three times more than last year. This year, families with seven and more children will receive regional housing subsidies out of turn.
 
 
9 billion rubles will be allocated to Yaroslavl region in 2016 for water-supply system upgrade. The amount will be allocated within the framework of target program of development of water supply, drainage and wastewater treatment for 2012-2017.
 
 
More than 200 km of highways will be repaired by the end of 2012 in Yaroslavl region. Total allocations of the road fund will amount to nearly 4 billion rubles
 
 
 
In 2013, Yaroslavl engine plant is beginning to produce engines for Mercedes-Benz Sprinter cars. The Autodiesel plant will assemble and test Mercedes engines, as well as perform machining process of basic parts. Production of YaMZ-530 engine will be continued on this site as well.
 
 
Yaroslavl region will receive 207 million rubles under the federal program Culture of Russia. The largest amount - 114 million rubles - is intended for repair and restoration work in Rostov Kremlin. Substantial funds will be allocated for the restoration of cultural heritage sites in Yaroslavl - the temple complex in Korovniky, St. Peter and Paul's Church, Big Manufaktura Ensemble and other facilities.
